Biofinity are a silicone hydrogel continuous wear contact lens, manufactured by CooperVision and made using their patented Aquaform technology, which creates a hydrophilic silicone hydrogel lens that allows greater levels of oxygen to flow freely through the contacts to the eye helping them stay moist and comfortable all day long.
Higher oxygen supply contacts are known to create whiter healthier looking eyes for most contact lens wearers.
Biofinity contact lenses are designed to be as daily disposable monthly contacts or up to 7 days and 6 nights in a row, they posses and maintain a high level of water to ensure the lens remains soft and flexible, delivering real comfort through the day and night.
Combining this perfect balance of water and exceptionally high levels of oxygen, Biofinity fells almost as natural as wearing no contacts at all. Biofinity are naturally comfortable contacts with no additives, coatings, wetting agents or surface treatments, so nothing comes between you a more comfortable contacts-wearing experience.
Biofinity also contains Aspheric optics which enhances vision even in low lighting conditions and helps with peripheral vision.
I've been wearing contact lenses for around 18 years and prefer them to my glasses. These lenses ensure that enough oxygen gets to my eyes when I wear them for a long time, they're comfortable and my optician has noticed that my eyes are healthier since I moved to use them. Great price and delivery.
Iv used these lenses for many years and will continue to do so. I like the extended wear as it fits in with working long shifts where the daily/monthlys start to fail. I find the lenses quite thick compared to others but I very rarely get any tears and knicks as a result.
Maybe its just me but these lenses caused me some stress, continuous need for blinking or you get all blurry, you wake up with your eyes glued together. Awful experience specially for the price. Will try a different brand like crystals, let's see how it goes.
These lenses are the WORST. I tried to sleep in them on the first night (this is why I bought them) and the burning pain woke me up in the early hours. I took the lenses out, cleaned them, ran an eye wash through my eyes and put the lenses back in. I went back to bed. I woke up in the morning and my eyes were so sore I could barely open them to remove the lenses. I went back to my daily disposables. Unfortunately I spent my lenses budget on these so once my dailies ran out I had to persevere with these. After between 3 and 6 hours, I want to scratch my eyeballs out of my head. My eyes are bloodshot and water loads and by the end of the night (when I take them out) it feels like I have rubbed chilli into my eyes by accident. It’s so bad it looks and feels like severe conjunctivitis, but the symptoms stop as soon as the lenses are removed. Never ever again. My new dailies arrived today, and these are going in the bin.
I have been using the biofinity monthly lenses for over a year now and have never had any issues. I usually put them in in the morning before heading out to work and then take them out some time in the evening when I am home, and wear them most days. There has never been a time when my eyes have felt dry with this in, even after they have been in almost the whole day. I was also told in my last opticians check up my eyes are healthy so these have not caused any problems and are fine for me to keep using. Would definitely recommend.
I have been using these for years and am very happy with them. They can be worn all day without irritating my eyes. I would recommend wearing glasses on a couple of days during the week to give your eyes a break, but I realise other people might wear them daily.
I accidentally ordered the Biofinity continuous wear lenses once when my usual dailies were out of stock, turned out to be one of the better mistakes I've ever made. These lenses are perfect for 24x7 wear, they let oxygen pass through so you wake up without feeling our eyes are as dry as sand, and it lets me forget about the fact I need glasses and get on with my day. Brilliant.
In terms of actual use, I'd say I take them out for a few days once every 10 days to let my eyes rest, not because I feel I need to but rather I'm conscious of wearing them too long.
Tried these guys a couple of years ago in an attempt to find an easier and cheaper solution than the company i was using. Soon found the product was great quality, promptly delivered, good value and overall felt much more comfortable to wear than the company i had previously. I have been faithfully using them ever since.
